TitleWhat is the sunrise period?
Note: This article covers Melbourne IT DPS customers only.

The sunrise period is a 30 to 60 day period where domains with new gtld domain extensions may be registered prior to the time in which they become available to the general public. In order to be eligible to register a domain within this sunrise period, the registrant must have the following;
       1. A trademark that exactly matches the domain name
       2. Trademark must be registered with the trademark clearing house (TMCH)

Once the trademark is registered with TMCH, a signed mark data (SMD) file will be provided to the registrant. This must be forwarded to your Account Manager in order to complete a sunrise domain order.

For more information, please contact your Account Manager.
