Transfer ownership .au domain

Information

TitleTransfer ownership .au domain
Description

If you buy or sell a business, or your company structure changes, you may find that you need to change the entity to which your .au domain name is registered.

For policy compliance reasons, this process involves both parties to the transfer (that is, the old and new owners) signing the attached form and proving their eligibility to relinquish and accept responsibility for the domain.

The new owner of the domain name is subject to all the standard eligibility criteria for .au ownership - a valid ABN, ACN, trademark or other proof of operating a business must be provided in the same way as required for new domain name registration.

In some circumstances, additional documentation may be required. This may be the case if the current registrant entity is under administration/liquidation/recievership, or if the business has changed hands in the past without this process being followed.

Please allow a time frame of between 3 - 5 business days for processing once the form is submitted.

Should you require further clarification, please contact us via telephone or email and we will be happy to clarify the process.
