In most cases, cancelling a service is a quick and easy process you can submit through your MyAccount. Start by logging into the MyAccount at melbourneit.com.au by clicking on the “MyAccount” link at the top of the screen and entering your username and password.
Once you are logged in, click on the “Manage services” link, then tick the box next to the service you want to cancel. You'll then see an option to cancel. At this point we usually ask a couple of questions about why you are terminating the service – this is so that we can make improvements in the future. Once you answer this, a message is sent to our accounts team who finalise the closure and generate a final invoice if required. Please allow around two to four working days for them to do this.
In a small number of cases, you will not be able to cancel online. This usually happens because the MyAccount still shows the service with an “Installing” status. If this is the case, don’t panic. You can either give us a call on 1300 654 677 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know the account username, the first four characters of the password and the service in question and we will take care of this for you.
